This is me

I’m Rens Kwakkenbos, a final-year Communication & Multimedia Design student at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda. When I started my degree, I already dreamed of working in fashion. Throughout my studies, that dream began to take shape. I draw inspiration from nature, culture and skateboarding.

When the opportunity came up to intern at Fashion Tech Farm in Eindhoven, I didn’t have to think twice. There, I developed my skills in fashion design, pattern drafting and garment construction. In Eindhoven, I also met Lele, who shares my passion for sustainable and distinctive fashion. Together, we’re organising The Purple Show during Dutch Design Week 2026, where I’ll be presenting my designs.

I’m currently taking a minor in Fashion at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czechia. After returning to the Netherlands in February 2027, I plan to complete my degree with a project that brings together circularity, inclusivity and fashion design. Through this project, I’ll continue building my own clothing brand.
