Concept

For this T-shirt, the goal was to construct a garment in 1 afternoon. I wanted to learn more about how a piece of clothing is constructed. The second goal was to make a simple white T-shirt stand out from others with one simple detail.

Pattern

I copied the sleeve cap and armhole from an existing pattern and scaled them a bit. The rest of the pattern I drew myself based on my measurements. I added a little more fabric for a boxy and slightly baggy fit.

Areas for improvement

I did not add a neckband because the design felt finished at the time.

Looking back, I would have added it.

In the future, I can also experiment with prints.
